The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade provides grants to organizations and institutions working to advance breast cancer research, treatment and education – with the goal of improving breast cancer outcomes and reducing disparities in survival rates.
We fund organizations that help people, regardless of their ability to pay, get the breast cancer care they need. We do this through three main pillars of grant making.
Breast Health Outreach Program: The Breast Health Outreach Program (BHOP) provides grants to nonprofit organizations to conduct outreach, provide education on breast health and breast cancer screening, link medically underserved women to care providers and clinical screening services, and help navigate patients through any necessary follow-up care.
Safety Net Program: The Safety Net Funding Initiative supports public, community, and safety net hospitals and health care systems that provide breast care to low-income, at-risk, uninsured and underinsured individuals.
Research Initiatives: The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade Research Initiative continues its search for new preventive strategies to address the growing number of breast cancer cases around the globe and increase our understanding of not only the causes of breast cancer, but also the development and treatment of metastatic disease.
